Living, Learning From and Serving With the Local Church Around the World

As a family of churches we’re on a mission together, a mission to see the ends of the earth reached with the Good News of the Gospel!

When we begin to understand mission as more than something we ‘go on’ or ‘do’, we find at the heart of it’s meaning an integral part of our identity as God’s people. Mission belongs to God and we are called into His purposes! When Jesus commissioned his followers to ‘… go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’ he essentially mobilised mission! We are salt and light where we find ourselves in the UK, regardless of the society or industry we’re involved in. As part of a global family of churches we also get the chance to actively pursue the advance of His kingdom on a larger scale outside of our home or work place.

As part of a church planting movement, we have a rich heritage of having seen God transform communities through the small clusters of people we have sent out. From nationwide to worldwide with over 700 churches in over 60 nations, our heart for short-term teams within Newfrontiers has been about:

  • Teams learning from churches in other nations, living life amongst them and serving alongside them
  • Seeing new or existing churches around the world being strengthened and supported in their location amongst their unreached community

Experiencing mission in other cultures has proved to be inspiring, transformative and insightful for teams that have gone out and encountered God in fresh and unexpected ways! Be part of Newfrontiers around the world!

Katie's Moldovan Adventure

For some time Katie has felt called by God to go and work with underprivilleged children in Moldova.  Earlier this year she was accepted by Operation Mobilisation to go and serve with them for two years.  The work she will be doing is voluntary and she has to fund herself.  Her growth group are helping her to organise some fund raising events because, although she is planning to go in January  2012, she will not be able to if she does not have the money for her flights and immediate living costs.

The events to look out for are:

Moldovan Evening and Auction of Talents -1st October  (This was great fun - don't miss the next fundraiser.)

Quiz Night - 22nd November
Val's sponsored swim - some time in November

Katie is also looking for people to contribute towards her living costs whilst she is in Moldova.

If you would like to purchase tickets, sponsor Val or give a monthly donation to Katie once she is in Moldova, please email enquiries@jubileechurchfarnham.org or phone the church office on 01252 820203.
