Growth Groups
We believe church is not just about Sunday services but about the whole week! To this end we encourage members of the church to be part of a small midweek group that we call Growth Groups. This way individuals can get to know others in the church in a way not possible on a Sunday.
Why have we called our small groups Growth Groups?
Our goals for our small groups are:
- To see individuals grow in their Christian life through positive healthy relationships
- To see outward-looking small groups grow the ‘fringe’ of the church and grow numerically
Ben & Erin's Growth Group
We were formed by a number of individuals in search of an easy to digest discipleship message. We are currently studying the post-Alpha series of DVDs on Challenging Lifestyles led by Nicky Gumble of HTB, discussing and exploring the key messages Nicky deals with on a fortnightly pattern.
We meet on Monday evenings in homes around the Alton and Bordon area.
Neil and Lesley's Growth Group
Neil and Lesley's Growth Group meets on a Tuesday evening to worship, pray and study God's word. As well as our regular time together, we love to socialise - usually involving food in some way - we'll be sure to get outdoors on a few occasions for some fresh air and, of course, food!
We meet on Tuesday evenings in homes around the South Farnham, or Church Crookham area.
F & F Growth Group
A social snack starts our informal meetings, followed by a short time of worship which leads into our discussing Sunday's sermon notes or else considering a topic brought by a member. Sometimes there's a video or TV programme. Whenever necessary, our focus is upon prayer and ministry needs. Every couple of months we enjoy an evening meal or other social activity together.
We meet on Wednesday evenings in homes around the Fleet, Central Farnham and the Aldershot areas.
Chris and Gemma's Growth Group
We meet on Thursday evenings in homes around the Ash or Lower Bourne areas.
Steve and Jo's Growth Group
As a group, God is continuing to remind us to pray for one another and for others this term. And we are seeing amazing answers! Do come and join us and sense God's presence among us.
We meet on Thursday evenings in homes around the West or Central Farnham area.
Steve and Amber's Growth Group
By definition, the kitchen is the hub of the house. The kitchen table is where Family happens! It is a place where people connect and share, challenge and discuss, laugh and cry. It is a place of loyalty and safety, honesty and support. We believe Church community should reflect this same culture.
We meet on Thursday evenings in homes around the Church Crookham, Hale and Aldershot areas.
