Leadership Training - Foundations and Advanced

FOUNDATIONS:

Why ? Because you will:

• DIscover new leadership skills and learn to use them confidently
• Develop your gifts alongside others, sharing the exciting challenge of leadership together
• Deepen your knowledge and appreciation of God
• Make new friends and form helpful support networks 

The course runs over a 2 year period and covers topics such as:

• Pastoral theory and practice
• Leadership skills and character issues
• Major Christian doctrines
• Church history
• New Testament studies
• Church planting skills

The qualifications needed are:

• Demonstration of appropriate experience in your local newfrontiers church
• Backing and support of your local church leaders
• Willingness to learn, change, grow and do!

ADVANCED:

The advanced coures takes a further 2 years and covers:

• Old Testament exegesis
• New Testament exegesis
• Hermeneutics
• Apologetics
• An introduction to New Testament Greek
• Preaching classes

Why do it? Because you will:

• Find your relationship with God and your work for him refreshed and energised
• Be helped to develop your knowledge, character and skills to fill an enlarging role and responsibilities
• Discover fresh confidence in biblical exegesis and preaching
• Develop friendships with fellow leaders, giving and receiving encouragement

Qualifications needed are:

• Newfrontiers Leadership Training - Foundations, or equivalent theological training
• Suitable senior leadership experience
• Backing and support of your local church leaders
