Church Life

Worship

We place the highest value on worship, believing that it is the main reason for our existence. The Westminster Shorter Catechism expresses it in the statement, Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever’. Worship is at the heart of everything we do and is our motivation for every area of church life.

So worship is not simply an element of our Sunday meetings but is about our relationship with God as we live in obedience to Him; worship flows from hearts that love Him.

In spirit and in truth

The priesthood of all believers is one of our core values, so our services are not only dynamic, with great worship songs, but punctuated with extemporary prayer, life-changing prophetic words, tongues and interpretation full of revelation and other spiritual gifts.

When we come together as a people in our meetings, we express our desire to be worshippers who worship in spirit and in truth. We desire the words we sing to be full of truth; packed with content which declares and honours God's character, what He has done for us and how our hearts love to respond.

Whether it is joyful, uninhibited praise or soft heartfelt devotion, our desire is to be theological and biblical within a contemporary style which everyone can relate to. It is also our desire to be completely open to the Holy Spirit with all his gifts.
