About us

Our History

The story so far

For many years Newfrontiers ran a very successful Bible camp called Stoneleigh Bible Week. Over 20,000 people, young and old, camped for a week in the summer and spent time in worship, teaching and training seminars, as well as recreational time getting to know others from their own church and other churches around the world.

In 2001 there was a sense that God was saying to stop this initiative and change direction; focusing on establishing new churches around the UK and the world. Many new churches were ‘planted’ in the UK and Jubilee Church Farnham was one of them.

In January 2002 a small group of Christians, who had been involved in Newfrontiers churches in other towns in Surrey, began meeting together in homes in Farnham and praying. Led initially by Mark Landreth-Smith, the leader of The Beacon Church, Camberley, the small group was supported and encouraged by him and the Beacon Church.

Leaders were identified and the small group grew until it was necessary to start meeting on Sunday mornings. From September 2002 Jubilee Church Farnham was established.

During 2003 a church membership was established.

In 2004 four elders were appointed and the responsibility for the church was handed from the Beacon Church to this group.

By the grace of God the story continues...AND NOW, we are 8 years old.
